Misty Breez

September 10, 2026

Liquid transactions are working again, and you can move your funds out of Misty Breez by sending them to another Liquid wallet, such as Blockstream or Aqua. Swap services are still not functional, so the steps detailed below do not work yet.

Beware of scams: scammers are exploiting the incident with fraudulent update sites and messages. Rely only on official Liquid Network and Blockstream channels, never send funds to unfamiliar addresses, and never disclose your seed phrase.

The Liquid Network is paused following a security incident. As a result, users of Misty Breez are unable to move funds out of the app, so there is nothing you need to do right now. The steps detailed below will only work once the network is running again. You can follow the network's status at liquid.network.

How to Move Your Funds

The service Misty Breez relies on is no longer available. As a result, on-chain and Lightning payments cannot be made in the app. To mitigate this, we added the ability to send and receive with a Liquid address.

You can move your funds to any wallet that can receive an on-chain bitcoin transaction.

We recommend Glow, a bitcoin app built for everyone, powered by the Breez SDK.

Since the built-in service in Misty Breez is no longer available, you can use an external service to transfer from Liquid bitcoin (L-BTC) to on-chain bitcoin. Some examples are:

These are external services, operated by third parties and not by Breez. Breez does not run them, does not endorse them, and cannot help with them. Check their fees, limits and terms yourself, and use them at your own discretion.
